ARE THESE NINTENDO DIRECT GAMES WORTH MENTIONING?

If you read my post “What Did the Nintendo Direct Offer?” you know by now what games from the Nintendo Direct excited me but I didn’t mention the games that just didn’t pique my interest and they shouldn’t go unmentioned. There were quite a few games from Dragon Quest Builders 2 to Dead by Daylight which are coming to the switch this year but why did great titles such as these just not make my list of games I am looking forward to in 2019?
What Nintendo Direct Games Didn’t Make My List and Why?
There were a few games announced in the Nintendo Direct that didn’t excite me and I really not looking forward to their release. Most of them were RPGs and as I said on the We Deem Channel many times I am not that fond of RPGs. I know, I know what the heck is wrong with me but that is how it is and I just don’t like most RPGs. Some other game announced were games that already seen releases on other platforms and there were some digital downloadable games that were just not that interesting. Without anymore
Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age Definitive Edition

Now here is a game that will probably make a lot of people excited but me not so much and why you ask? Simply put it is a turn-based RPG and that is just not my favorite genre. However, the game seems like it has a really good story with an intrigue battle system and classic RPG gameplay for those who are into that sort of thing. The Definitive version of the game features the same sprawling content of the original including new character-specific stories, fully orchestrated field, and battle music. This version of the game also allows the player to switch between HD and retro-inspired 16-bit visuals. Let’s not forget the option to switch between Japanese and English voice track. Dragon Quest XI S Definitive Edition is definitely a game worth mentioning even if it’s not my cup of tea and it releases in the fall of this year so don’t forget to pre-order now!
Fire Emblem Three Houses

Here is another well know RPG franchise and a game that most people get really excited when a new game enters the playing field. Fire Emblem: Three Houses features finely-tuned gameplay and improved character leveling up
The Academy is made up of three houses, the Black Eagles, The Blue Lions and the Golden Deer which you shall choose to join on fraction. This turn-based tactical RPG allows you to freely explore Garreg Mach Monastery while interacting with your students and gather Intel in the process. For most this was a great announcement in the Nintendo direct but for me not so much and it all boils down to I’m not an RPG fan which you will hear me say a lot. Game releases July 26,
Unravel 2

Unravel does look interesting and more than likely will be a good platformer but never played the first one so wasn’t too hyped. Apparently, you control what the game calls
On March 26 Final Fantasy 7 will release for download on the Nintendo eShop and Final Fantasy 9 released day of the direct. These games have released on my different platforms such as the PlayStation Classic…
Mortal Kombat 11

There isn’t much to say other then this is Mortal Kombat and a game I am most definitely excited for but not on the Nintendo Switch. There are all new Custom Character Variations which give you control to customize the fighters and make them fit your fighting style. The roster features new characters such as Jacqui Briggs and Cassie Cage. There will be a new
I would love to hear what Platform you willkrush some skulls in Mortal Kombat 11 and why in the comments down below! O yea, did you see the Premium Edition is $99.99 which comes with asteelbook andkombat pack. Kombat Pack includes 6 newdonwloadable content playable characters, 1 week of early access to downloadable content characters, 7 skins and 7 sets of gear but does that justify the $50 more?
Dead By Daylight

Dead by Daylight is a great survival horror multi-player game original released on PC, then ported to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The player gets to choose from being the phyco killer or one of four survivors. The four survivors must escape the killer by turning on generators to activate the exit gates and if caught other survivors can help you escape unless too much time goes by and you die. The killer obviously must catch, torture and trap the survivors eventually killing them. There are a ton of reconizable characters such as Michael Myers, Leather face, Freddy and Jigsaw. Personally I love the game and it is a ton of fun as well as a adrenaline rush.
Personally, I’m just not excited to see it on the Nintendo Switch and I just don’t see how it will work. It is an online only game and the Nintendo Switch doesn’t have mobile data natively and being able to play it on the go would be the only reason to get this game on the Nintendo Switch. If you only have a Nintendo Switch then it is well worth getting and it releases fall of this year but if you have an Xbox One or PlayStation 4 I suggest getting the game on one of those.
Delta Rune
If you remember playing Undertale and was a big fan of the game you might be happy to hear there is a new game in the series. Delta Rune: Chapter 1 allows you to create your own avatar, meet weird friends and dive into the complete darkness. I haven’t played Undertale or Delta Rune so I don’t know much about the game but I have watched some videos on Youtube. The game looks like a mixture of RPG, Platformer and Puzzle elements. The game is free to download on PC, XBOX
Cocobo’s Mystery Dungeon Every Buddy
Yet another RPG, there were so many new and passed RPGs coming to the Nintendo Switch and this was one of the reasons I personally wasn’t as excited during the February Nintendo Direct as Wood was from the Beat ‘EM Ups channel. Apparently
Assassin’s Creed III Remastered

Assassin’s Creed III is arguably one of the best in the series and I think that is mainly due to the time period the game is set in. The game is set in 1775 and the American Colonies are about to form a revolt. You play as Connor, an assassin who is fighting for liberty for his people and the nation. In assassin’s creed fashion, you hunt down varies enemies in a large open and realistic world. During the
Assassin’s Creed III Remastered includes Assassin’s Creed Liberation Remastered, all the solo DLCs from the original game, Benedict Arnold Missions, Hidden Secrets and Tyranny of King Washington.
The Remastered version is Optimized for the Nintendo Switch, you can play in TV mode, handheld mode and tabletop mode. There are touch screen elements added into this version of the game, HD Rumble, Optimized HUD and motion control aiming. I have had this game on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation video but I am intrigue by the Nintendo Switch Version of the game. More then likely I will be pre-ordering the game and be set to play one of the best Assassin’s Creed games ever made on May 21, 2019.
Finally Thoughts
Well, those are some of the games from February’s Nintendo direct set to release this year that I just wasn’t overall excited for but they are obviously good games for the most part and I am sure there are plenty of gamers out there that can’t wait for these games to release. Out of this list, I think the one game I am interested in picking up is Assassin’s Creed III Remastered but it made this list because I have played the game before on multiple systems and it was just another port to the Switch.
