ARCADE CLASSICS AT HOME WITH THE SUPER RETRO-CADE

ARCADE CLASSICS AT HOME WITH THE SUPER RETRO-CADE

Mame Arcade CabinetThere are plenty of classic games we all remember playing in the arcade, spending countless amounts of quarters to keep the gaming experience going for hours and then before we were done our pockets were an empty abyss! Going to the arcade was always exciting for me as a child and even a short gaming experience was a blast but what if I could bring that experience home. Well, I can, there are many different ways to bring the arcade experience home with me and I can enjoy countless hours of arcade goodness. I could build or purchase a Mame cabinet, I could get a pandora’s box arcade console, or I could build a raspberry pi table top or full arcade system but what if I just want a small home console that brings some of my favorite arcade games into my home? Well, Retro-bit has answered my prayers and brought me the Super Retro-cade.

What Is The Super Retro-cade?

The Retro-bit Super Retro-Cade brings the arcade to your home is a small plug & play console. The Retro-cade is packed with 90 classic games from popular developers such as Capcom, Data East, Technos and even Irem. The Retro-Cade has not only Arcade classics but also Nintendo Entertainment System, Super Nintendo, and even one genesis game.

What’s Within The Box?

Within the box are the Retro-Bit Super Retro-Cade console, an HDMI cable, two Super Retro Controllers and a power adapter. The box itself was well designed and extremely eye-catching, unlike Retro-bit’s Res Plus box which I felt was generic. The box alone would catch my eyes while walking through a local Target or Walmart and would be the reason alone that I went ahead an purchased the system.

Final Thoughts

The Super Retro-Cade on paper seems to be a really affordable way to play some of your favorite retro arcade games from your childhood, it is packed with 90 games, has two controllers which is always a plus and all within a small light-weight device. I have been playing it for a couple of weeks now and it is really shaping up to be a really good well design console. The emulation has proven to be pretty good with little frame rate issues, you have the options to add games via the SD card slot and it’s a great way to bring the arcade gaming experience home. Why go through the hassle of looking for an NES or SNES classic or even paying the outrages scalper prices when the Retro-Bit Super Retro-Cade does a great job of emulating plenty of your favorite retro games from many different platforms include the beloved Arcade Machine!

Looking for a great way to play retro games take a look at the Retro-Bit Super Retro-Cade, an amazing retro gaming plug & play!

Arcades, boy those were the days! the youth of today will never get to experience the fun in going to the arcade!

In my small town that was the hang out spot. Every kid around hung out there, including the girls!

Anyway, I have this game console and i love it. It is like a stroll down memory lane every time I play it!

Great review and I highly recommend this to anyone missing the good old days!

Retro-bit did a pretty good job will the Super Retro-cade, it not only plays the old arcade classics but also retro console games and does it very well. The best part is your not limited to the games that came pre-installed on the system, you can add more games via the SD card slot and it is a very simple process. I most definitely highly recommend the Super Retro-cade to anyone looking to experience there favorite childhood retro games!

The Super Retro-Cade is definitely a great way to relive all the great retro video games from your childhood and it does more then it is intended to do. The console was designed to bring arcade games to your home TV but it also play NES, SNES, GENESIS and more. Beside the included 90 games there is a way to add even more games via the SD so it makes this console worth more then it’s retail price and is a must own for any retro video enthusiast!

    Hi there!

First of all, thank you for bringing back some serious memories. I spend most of my youth playing on these machines, hell I even skipped school from time to time lol.

Ghost and Goblins! 1942! Wohoo, I want this box. Are the games as they were back then?

I am thinking graphics, game-play and all?

    Cheers,
    Thomas

I can relate to skipping school for the arcade and even sneaking over to a friends house when their parents weren’t home to get some gaming in. The Retro-Bit Super Retro-Cade does a pretty good job emulating the games and for me the experience felt spot on. As for the graphics they are a little crisper thanks to the addition of an HDMI port and they look better graphically on your HD TV.

I would highly suggest you Pick-up a Super Retro-Cade if your looking for an affordable way to re-experience games from your childhood! Cool article on a subject Im not really familiar with. The Retro-Cade seems like a unique gadget to have at home to show off to your friends or visitors. You did a good job at explaining everything about it and what it includes. I remember playing a fighting game, I think it was something like Tekken on a similar machine, they’re great.

Salvatore Jenkins Jr Posted on12:05 am - January 21, 2018

The Super Retro-Cade is a pretty amazing little machine that emulates more then just Arcade games but it has it’s limitations and a game like Tekken gave me trouble running but most retro games from the 8bit as well as 16bit era run just fine.

OMG! I LOVED the arcade! I can’t tell you how much time I spent there! Me and my friends would spend our afternoons playing Space Invaders and Pac Man! Yes, I know I’m dating myself but I don’t care! This sounds like a great product! Imagine having this system and inviting over a bunch of friends. They will probably never leave! 😀 Alanna

I myself have played a lot of Space Invaders and Pac Man two classics that are popular still to this day. The Retro-Bit Super Retro-Cade is an amazing and affordable way to relive the classics. I highly suggest picking one up and having a game night!
